NEFport is Nepal Economic Forum's flagship publication, released quarterly to provide a sectoral overview of key economic sectors. A special section allows experts to provide perspectives on pertinent issues governing Nepal's economy.

Amid intensifying climate risks, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and evolving patterns of mobility and connectivity, NEFport 64, titled ‘Himalayan Future Forum 2026 Special: Climate, Community, and Connectivity in a Changing World,’ situates the Himalayan region at the center of global conversations on resilience, cooperation, and sustainable development. Drawing on insights from the Himalayan Future Forum 2026, the publication presents a multidimensional assessment of how climate security, community resilience, and strategic connectivity are shaping the region’s present and future trajectories. In addition, the NEFport spotlights key economic, policy, and sectoral developments from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, with select sections covering updates through mid-March 2026.

Amid surging global AI investments, evolving regulations, and geopolitical tensions, NEFport 63, titled ‘Artificial Intelligence in Nepal: Charting the Next Frontier,’ provides a multidimensional assessment of what it will take for Nepal to harness AI in a manner that is inclusive, secure, and economically sustainable. Besides this, the NEFport spotlights key developments in multiple sectors from September 1 to November 30, 2025.

Following two joint roundtables conducted by Nepal Economic Forum (NEF) and the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in Kathmandu and Dhaka, NEFport 62, titled ‘Nepal-Bangladesh Relations: Unlocking Bilateral Relations,’ charts a path for future relations between the two countries. This issue takes into account news updates from June 1 to August 31, 2025.

NEFport 61, titled “Reforms 2.0: Unpacking the High-Level Economic Reforms Commission”, delves into the formation, objectives, and proposed actions of the Commission established by the Government of Nepal in October 2024. This issue captures the momentum around reform implementation and includes key economic and policy updates from March 1 to May 31, 2025.

Marking 10 years since the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal, NEFport 60, titled ‘Recovering from Disaster: A Decade Since the Gorkha Earthquake’ examines the impact of the earthquake and the subsequent steps taken to recover from it. This issue takes into account news updates from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025.

Based on the opportunities posed by the demographic dividend discussed in the previous edition, NEFport 59, titled ‘Unlocking Care Economy’s Potential,’ explores the significance of care economy in today’s development paradigm through collaborative care thinking, an area that the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF) is keen to work in.
