About the Program
The program, supported by the Australian Embassy in Nepal and implemented by Nepal Economic Forum (NEF), works to promote sustainable trade growth by enhancing export readiness, building market linkages, and fostering innovation within Nepal’s private sector.
The application aims to identify and onboard high-potential Nepali businesses for targeted export support to Australia. This process emphasizes inclusivity and transparency, ensuring representation from diverse sectors, regions, and demographics — including women-led and underrepresented businesses.

Who Can Apply?
- This application is open for businesses and SMEs operating in at least one of the priority sectors: readymade garments, carpets, processed foods, felt products, medicinal & aromatic plants (MAP) and essential oils, or orthodox tea.
- The company must be a legally registered entity in Nepal.
- The company must have conducted transactions and demonstrated traction.
- The company is willing to share audited financial statements.
- The founding team must be 18 or above.
- The company should show commitment to inclusivity and job creation for women.
- The company must be currently exporting or demonstrate readiness.
- Must align with the DFAT PSEAH Policy.
