Tom Schneider

Tom Schneider is a management consultant with over ten years’ experience advising governments and organisations on strategy, organisational transformation and public sector reform. He began his career with Ernst & Young (EY) in London before becoming a Senior Manager in the Consulting practice. He later joined Baringa to help establish its Government Strategy business.

His work focuses on helping organisations translate policy, into strategy and then delivery by designing more effective operating models, transforming and digitising large-scale services and supporting the execution of complex change programmes. He has advised UK government departments including the Department for Business and Trade, the Department of Health and Social Care, and the Home Office, as well as technology-enabled businesses on revenue growth and market-entry strategy.

Tom holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Development Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His professional interests include economic development, the role of public-private partnerships in accelerating growth, and how governments and institutions can build the organisational capability needed to deliver ambitious policy objectives.

Tom relocated to Kathmandu in 2025 and contributes to the Nepal Economic Forum as a Senior Fellow, where he focuses on organisational effectiveness, public sector delivery and private sector development.
