
Aman Pant
Aman is a generalist who champions the fusion of interdisciplinary thinking and global perspectives to foster adaptability, innovation and creativity in tackling complex issues. Among his diverse interests are geo strategy, politics, economy and security. In particular, he is keen on questions surrounding Nepal’s place in a globalized world, the state of its global partnerships and exploring dynamics of regional integration. With a foundation in Economics, he is passionate about ideas on structurally reshaping 21st century economics to better integrate equity, sustainability and peace.
Aman has a robust understanding of Nepal’s Governance landscape, including policy making and institution building in the federal structure, as a result of extensive collaborations with policy makers and other relevant stakeholders. He has worked as a Political Economy and Editorial consultant at the Nepal Economic Forum and Beed Management where he contributed to the production of numerous NEFport publications and other reports. He also provided critical reflections and feedback in various stages of drafting the book ‘Unleashing the Vajra – Nepal Journey Between India and China’.
He recently completed an Erasmus Mundus Double Masters in Global Studies from Universities of Leipzig, Addis Ababa and Roskilde. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Economics & Peace Studies from Goucher College, USA.
