Himal Neupane

Mr. Himal Neupane served (February 2020 to December 2022) for the Effective Development Finance Coordination Project (EDFC II), implemented by the International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division (IECCD) of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal, and UNDP Nepal. In the project, Mr. Neupane has been responsible for managing project operations, development cooperation policy consultations, and sustaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders to advance development effectiveness and capacity-building initiatives.

Between 2019 and 2020, Mr. Neupane served as a Director within the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). As Director, Mr. Neupane has been involved in the formulation of private sector growth strategies and coordinated policy formulation across both private-public industries. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Neupane coordinated a series of CNI-led webinars entitled “Economic Survival” dedicated to discussing the pandemic’s impact on Nepal’s economy and business sectors and identifying strategies for recovery.

He also brings a vast knowledge of economic and business policy, sustainable development, and international relations developed over 15 years as a business Journalist with the Kantipur Television Network, a leading media organization in Nepal.

He holds a Master of Law in International Relations from Jilin University, China, and a Master in Mass Communication and Journalism from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
